About: Inside the Sailing Atlas

An atlas for people who would rather understand a coast than be sold one.

Why this atlas exists

Yacht holidays are often marketed as effortless. In practice, the best weeks come from thoughtful choices: a coast that suits the crew, distances that leave time ashore, and preparation that turns uncertainty into confidence. Jollyjinxsparksp gathers that reasoning in one place.

Principle 01

Framework over ranking

We compare coasts by shelter, spacing and shore life, never by a league table of “perfect” holidays.

Principle 02

Enduring facts

We describe stable features — geography, protected areas, long-observed seasonal winds — rather than live prices or availability.

Principle 03

No commerce

No affiliate links, no sponsored destinations, no bookings. Links point to official or institutional sources.

Principle 04

Corrections welcome

If something is out of date or unclear, tell us and we will review it.

What we are not

This site is not a charter broker, a sailing school or a source of navigational information. Nothing here replaces official charts, current forecasts, local notices or professional instruction. We write for planners at the thinking stage, before they speak to operators or schools.

Independence note
